John Chapter 1

Word = Torah = Yeshua/Jesus
Word = Logos = "the expression of thought", embodying a concept or idea, the revealed will of God, reasoned speech.

The father's revealed will and reasoning is his Son, who has been from the begining, and he is God. All things were made through the revealed will of God and without the expressed revealed will of God nothing was made that was made.

Cross-referance 1 John 1:1-2
Eternail Life which was with the father and was manifested to us. John rested his head on the bossom of the revealed will of God and listened to his heart and felt the movement of the breath of God's will

Revelation 19:11
His name is Faithful and True, in righteousness he judges and makes war.

and back to the Gospel of John

vs 4 In him was life and the light to all men
vs 5 And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend(overtake, get past) the light

Tangent time
John 3:19 The world is condemned(dead) because it rejected the light(life) because the deeds of man are evil, and the light exposes their rejection of Gods will, the reasoning of God.

We don't even understand (in our natural state) that we are dead because we run from the light, which is eternal life, which is the revealed will of God, which is the reasoned speech of God. We are cut off from the resoning of God we can't comprehend his light, we don't even know we are dead or that we are missing God's will in our life.

If we reject the fathers laws we are rejecting Yeshua/Jesus because he is the Law and became the curse of the Law of sacrifice for us. We know that nothing from the law is done away with and we have to follow all of the teaching and instruction because.

Matthew 5:18
Nothing from the Law will be removed
Luke 16:17
It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than one tittle to be removed from the Law.

The Son is the law. For the law to be void is to say the Son is void. "He came to fulfill the law" he became the curse of the sacrifice. So we still have to sacrifice, but he is the blood sacrifice for us.

So as we are dead to our sins, our reasoning and flesh; we have the reasoning of God, the will of God, the light of God in us and pouring out from us.

If your words do not bring an affront from the world you are speaking without the light which they hate, because it shows them their death.

If you are the light of God you will be dispised and everywhere you go sin, death, and darkness will be exposed.

If you bring light to those that claim to believe in the light of God, but spit and revile you, it is clear that they do not know the light.

If they claim to be in the light but are shrouded by darkness, they have a false reasoning, not of the Father or the son, but of the AntiChrist.

And back to John
vs 6. The prophet John was sent by God
vs 7. For a witness, to bear witness to the light, that through him all might believe
witness = (marturia) = more than speaking a truth, it is speaking Known Power
believe = (pisteuo)verb = reliance upon, not mere credance. Interestingly John uses the verb pisteuo 99 times but does not use the noun once. so we know that believe is an action
John the prophet came speaking of the power of God and to show us who the light is so we would all put our confidence in him and be totally relient upon the light, the light of the world.
vs 8. He was not the light, but sent to bear witness to the light.
vs 9. That was the true light which gives light to every man coming into the world. or That was the true light which, coming into the world, gives light to every man
vs 10. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world did not know him
vs 11. He came to his own (Judea) and his own did not receive him
vs 12. But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to be the children of God, to those who believe in his name
Children = (teknon) = gives prominence to the fact of birth, rather than the dignity or character.

vs 13. Who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
affirming that it is only by God that we can rely on his light

vs 14. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth.

Word = logos = revealed will of God, reasoned speech
Flesh = sarx = spirit, soul, body; all that is man
Dwell = oikeo = to inhabit as one's home
Beheld = horao = to see, bodily vision
Glory = doxa = opinion of esteem & honor; the nature and acts of God

So the revealed will of God became all that is man, and lived on the earth with us, and we received a bodily vision of the nature and acts of God.

Hope this hits you all like a ton of bricks like it hit me
